Mini LEDs deliver a major upgrade

Until recently, top-of-the-line LED TVs used an advanced type of backlight called full-array with local dimming (FALD). That already excellent panel technology has further evolved by swapping traditional LEDs for a significantly smaller mini version. These Mini LED TVs, like Sony's BRAVIA XR-65X95K, can pack in a lot more lights — thousands, in fact.

Sony pairs this dense array of tiny LEDs with their XR Backlight Master Drive to deliver incredibly precise light control for exceptional contrast. By dimming some areas of the screen and boosting others, Sony's XR Contrast Booster 15 delivers bright highlights, natural mid-tones, and deep blacks. It can also reduce “blooming” — or those pesky halos you sometimes see around bright objects on dark backgrounds. 

The 'X95K also features Sony's X-Anti Reflection™ and X-Wide Angle™ technologies to help you enjoy a superb picture from any angle.

Premium Sony processing

The BRAVIA XR-65X95K uses the same Cognitive Processor XR found in Sony's top-of-the-line MASTER Series TVs. This powerful processor takes conventional Artificial Intelligence a step further by emulating the way our brains think and respond when we see and hear things. It cross-analyzes individual picture elements and quickly identifies the human focal point, so that it can immediately enhance each detail of that area. Instead of applying generic changes to the entire frame, it recognizes how individual parts of the whole interact with each other and makes precise adjustments to create a more natural picture.

Sound innovations

The ‘X95K's XR processor also contributes to richer, more involving sound. Its 3D Surround Upscaling technology can create a heightened Atmos-like sound field no matter what the source.

Acoustic Multi-Audio™ technology uses sound-positioning tweeters placed at the back of the TV that help the sound more accurately track the action on the screen.

And if you still want more, Acoustic Center Sync synchronizes the TV's built-in speakers with compatible Sony sound bars for even better sound.

Google TV simplifies streaming

The XR-65X95K includes the Google TV smart app platform which consolidates a wide range of streaming services into a single user interface. Watch an episode of Ted Lasso on Apple TV followed by Station Eleven on HBO Max all from one watchlist, without having to dig around in individual apps.  

And if you're feeling really lazy, you can simply ask the Google Assistant to pull up a show or movie. You can also adjust the volume, change channels or inputs, and control other basic TV functions using your voice.

The 65" XR-65X95K is an excellent match for your PC or next-gen console, with a dedicated Game Mode that delivers an input lag as low as 8.5ms. It supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), 4K at 120Hz, and enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) right out of the box. A future firmware update will also offer Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for smooth graphics without frame tearing or stuttering. And if you've got a PS5, you'll benefit from Auto HDR Tone Mapping for more accurate detail and color.
